About WorkWell

WorkWell is a co-working space in Irvine, CA launched in July 2018. WorkWell members get access to a complete set of amenities, and can reserve the venue to host their own events. They are looking to create a new admin portal that will focus on revamping their member billing process and internal-team calendar. I worked alongside with 2 designers and a PM on this project.

Problem

The WorkWell team has difficulty manually processing and tracking customer payments and room & tour reservations offline. The team wants a admin portal on their website that would digitize and consolidate these flows, making them easier to manage.

The interface will be used by everyone on the team therefore the features of the interface shouldn’t be geared towards a specific user. The user research needs to be more comprehensive to expand the perspective. The interviews will be divided into two groups.

WorkWell Team Interview

The first interview was with Brandon Huang, co-founder and co-owner of WorkWell. He identified these pain points that the admin portal might solve:

The admin portal would be a place where they can see and manage all of these systems together.
Since Ambrose is there every day, handling daily processes and interfacing with customers, we interviewed him and gathered these insights:
